Tom Folwell was born in New Zealand and was the youngest student to be accepted into the University of Auckland Elam School School of Fine Arts. A hyperrealist artist working in several media he has lived and worked in New Zealand, Australia and France. He returned to live in New Zealand in 2000 and now lives and paints in Coromandel in the North Island.
