A painter, printmaker, textile and stained glass designer and photographer, Philippa Blair was born in Christchurch in 1945. She studied at the University of Canterbury, and lived and worked in Auckland and Los Angeles Her work includes many commissions for stained glass windows, murals, and graphic design. She has lectured in painting in New Zealand, Australia and the USA.
Philipa Blair is one of the most prolific of the artists listed in our database, with the number of works offered for sale by auction since 1990 of 511, of which 396 (77%) were sold.
