Born in England in 1900, William Jones lived in New Zealand during the 1930s. An abstract painter, he taught art in Hawkes Bay and is represented in several public collections.

We have records of art auction sales by William Jones from 1976 and in total 28 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 21 (75%) were sold.
