Marc Standing was born in 1976 in Harare Zimbabwe. He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts, Fine Arts Honours Degree, Cape Town University, South Africa in 1999. He exhibited in South Africa, Zimbawe, and Holland and then moved to Switzerland in 2004 and the following year migrated to Australia. Since arriving he has exhibited in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and overseas in the UK, Holland and Zimbawe. He was a finalist in the Fishers Ghost Art Award, Campbelltown Arts Centre, NSW and the Blake Prize for Religious Art, National Art School, Sydney in 2007.
