Born in Lismore, N S W in 1950 Julie Rrap studied at National Art School, East Sydney Technical College and Sydney University. A photographer and performance artist she has held many solo shows and numerous group exhibitions. She has also signed her work 'Parr', 'Brown' or 'Brown-Raap'. Additional works are listed under these latter two names.

The highest price recorded for the artist is $42,955 for Persona and Shadow: Puberty 1984 sold by Smith & Singer in November 2022.
