Brodzky, a painter and a writer, was born Melbourne in 1885 and studied initially at the National Gallery School in Melbourne. He visited and studied in London from 1908 at the City and Guilds South London Technical Art School and had his first exhibition in London in 1911. In 1915 he moved to New York where he worked as a graphic artist, them moved back to london in 1923 and became a full time artist, but exhibited infrequently. He died in London in 1969. In London, his work is represented in the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
