Author and watercolourist Max Kreijn was born in Amsterdam in 1947. Early studies in architecture influenced his urge to paint the facades of the European architecture that surrounded him. Although nominally living in Australia he spent much time living a bohemian life, moving between the capital cities of Europe and in Bangkok. He is known to have exhibited Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in the 1990s and 2000s. He died in 2013.
