Born about 1937 in Western Australia Lily Karedada is well known for her Wandjina paintings from her ancestral country in the north west corner of the Kimberley on bark or canvas. She has exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions in the 1980s and 90s in Germany, South East Asia as well as Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. Her last recorded exhibition was in 2007 and she no longer paints due to failing eyesight.
