David Fielding was born in England in 1944. At age 6 he left with his family to live in NZ in 1950. They later moved to Tasmania and then to Adelaide. Although he attended a single term at art school, he is a self-taught artist. The quaint Victorian buildings he saw during his travels are often the subject of his tiny paintings. He has also been a book illustrator and a stage and television designer.
