Born in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand in 1940, Barry Lett studied under artist Paul Olds then briefly at Elam School of Fine Arts in 1964. He worked as an art dealer for 10 years, then became a full time atist in in the mid 1970s. A painter and sculptor, he has produced numerous murals and large public installations.
