Eveline Kotai was born in Perth in 1950 of Hungarian migrant parents. Her art practice began in 1980, after studying drawing, painting and sculpture sporadically at WAIT, TAFE & Curtin University (1969-1979). Her early work is characterized by pastel and charcoal drawings, mostly of the Margaret River landscape. Her later work evolved into multi-media depictions of patterns and change. She has staged over 25 solo exhibitions in Perth and Sydney, as well as being included in numerous curated group exhibitions.
We have records of art auction sales by Eveline Kotai from 2015 and in total 12 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 9 (75%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $2,300 for Light sold by GFL Fine Art in November 2016. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2022.
