Born in Sicily in 1945, Phillip Cannizzo arrived in Australia in 1956. A painter, sculptor and teacher, he studied at Prahran Technical college and RMIT Melbourne. He has exhibited widely and has executed mural and sculptural works in several buildings.

We have records of art auction sales by Phillip Cannizzo from 1988 and in total 12 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 7 (58%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $2,400 for Double Portrait 1984 sold by Lawson~Menzies (now trading as Menzies) in February 2006.
