About Donald Ramsay
Born in Melbourne in 1957, Donald Alan Ramsay studied Forest Science at Melbourne University and trained as a teacher in Melbourne, but received no formal art training. A painter and printmaker, he has held solo shows in Melbourne since 1979. He has travelled in Russia and France, as well as remote parts of Australia.
The total number of works by Donald Ramsay offered for sale by auction since 1994 is 19, of which 12 (63%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $2,071 for Waterfall I - Arnhem Land Escarpment, Kakadu 1989 sold by Leonard Joel in November 2016.
