Born in Poland in 1957, Barbara Licha studied painting, graphics and sculpture before travelling around Europe, and then to Australia in 1982. She was awarded a Graduate Diploma of Fine Arts from Sydney's City Art Institute in 1989. Licha held her first solo exhibition of paintings, drawings and prints in Sydney in 1984, and has since exhibited in Sydney and Poland. Her work is represented in the Print Council of Australia's collection.
