Born in Poland in 1896, Feuerring studied in Berlin, Florence and Rome. Prior to his arrival in Australia he was Associate Professor of Fine Arts at the University of Munich from 1945 to 1950, and from 1959 to 1966 was in charge of the art classes in adult education at Sydney University. He has had numerous one-man exhibitions and taken part in group shows throughout the world.
