Born in Wellington in 1939, Malcolm Warr studied at Elam School of Fine Arts, Auckland. Warr produced paintings in oil, watercolour and acrylic throughout his art career but is best known for his silkscreens and intaglio prints, and has also worked as a teacher and commercial artist. Malcolm Warr has exhibited extensively around New Zealand and has also exhibited in Australia and England. In 2019 a restrospective exhibition of his work was held in Palmerston North.
