Born in Adelaide in 1952, Mandy Martin studied at the South Australian School of Art from 1972 to 1975. A painter, printmaker and teacher, she lectured at the School of Art, Canberra from 1978 to 2003 and then a fellow between 2003 and 2006. Since 2008 she has been Adjunct Professor at the Fenner School of Environment and Society, Australian National University Canberra. She has exhibited in the eastern states overseas in France, Germany, Taiwan Mexico, the USA. After a long battle with cancer she passed away in July 2021.
