Born in 1930 in Lupul Rochhole, in the Northern Territory, Australian Aboriginal artist Makinti Napanangka began painting in the 1990s. She painted with the Haasts Bluff Kintore project and with the Pupunya Tula artists.She has participated in numerous group exhibitions including “Papunya Tula: Genesis and Genius” at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, 2000. She has been an entrant in three Telstra NATSIAA exhibitions, and the winner in 2008.
