About John Cantle
A late colonial era ornithological watercolourist, illustrator, cartoonist and postcard designer, John Cantle is best known for his bird paintings and postcards, John Cantle was active from 1880 to 1918 and exhibited at the Art Society of New South Wales in 1883.
The total number of works by John Cantle offered for sale by auction since 1975 is 45, of which 33 (73%) were sold.
